The four standard pitch types are listed below, plus the winter season pitch for long-stay campers. The season rate excludes a separate visitor-tax package, covered further down this page.

Winter Electricity

From December to April, electricity on the pitches is billed separately by meter at CHF 0.50 per kWh. A motorhome running a heater through the cold months should budget for this on top of the pitch rate. The summer months carry no such metered charge on the published list.

Rental Accommodation on Site

Here is the full published list, cheapest first. The Herberge is the standout: up to six people from a price below most hotel beds elsewhere in the valley.

Which Unit Fits Which Trip

A couple wanting four walls and a roof at the lowest cost can look at the Fuchsbau at $131.40 (CHF 108.10). A family of four or five finds good value in the Familienhütte at $149.80 (CHF 123.30) for up to six people. The two Mobilheim units and the Bungalow suit travellers who want the feel of a small apartment with a kitchen.

Office hours are Monday to Sunday, 08:00 to 12:00 and 14:30 to 18:30, every day of the week including weekends, so there is no single day when the desk is unreachable.

The site sits on the valley floor close enough to the village to walk to the shops and the station rather than needing a car for every errand. Its own address places it inside the same flat stretch as Valley Hostel and a short walk from Staubbach Falls.

Open All Year

Camping Jungfrau markets itself for Bernese Oberland stays the whole year, one of the few campgrounds in the region that does so rather than closing for the cold months like many alpine sites. That is why the price list carries a winter season pitch at $2,607.30 (CHF 2,145.55) and a metered winter electricity charge of CHF 0.50 per kWh from December to April, both details a summer-only campground would never need to publish. Summer visitors get the waterfall season and the longest opening hours at the local sights, while winter visitors get quiet pitches below the cliffs and access to the region's ski areas without competing for a summer-only site.

The campground's published price pages list pitches, cabins and the visitor tax, but they do not state details such as Wi-Fi coverage, shower block hours or an on-site restaurant on the pages read for this page, a gap worth noting rather than papering over with a guess. If any of those matter to a stay, ask the office directly on the phone number or email above rather than assuming a standard European campground amenity list applies here. The Standard Nightly Kurtaxe

Every overnight guest in the municipality pays the Kurtaxe regardless of accommodation type, so campers pay it exactly like hotel guests. It is charged per person per night. Adults pay $4.25 (CHF 3.50), children aged 6 to 16 pay $2.13 (CHF 1.75), and children under 6 pay nothing.

A couple in a tent for a week adds roughly $59.50 (our sum) to the bill on top of the pitch price.

The Season Kurtaxenpauschale

The winter season pitch price of $2,607.30 (CHF 2,145.55) carries a published note that it excludes a Kurtaxenpauschale of $189.00 (CHF 155.55) per season. That flat season package applies to season campers only. Anyone booking a pitch for a few nights pays the standard nightly Kurtaxe in the table above instead, not the season package.

Trümmelbach Falls

Trümmelbach Falls, where glacial water runs through the mountain inside the valley wall, is a short trip from the campground on the valley floor. Adult entry is $21.90 (CHF 18) and children aged 6 to 15 pay $9.72 (CHF 8). The falls open from the beginning of April to the beginning of November, 09:00-17:00, extended to 08:30-18:00 in July and August.

Walking the Valley Floor
